The building will be one of the first "green" private schools in the county.

Poinciana has officially acquired a beautiful parcel of land on which to build brand new campus!

The land, located off of Lyons Road between Southern and Forest Hill boulevards, is 3.5 acres large. The proposed facility will be 14,900 SF, which is approximately 50% more space than we currently occupy.

For years, the board has searched for the perfect place to relocate. David Seach, board member and land developer, feels very fortunate to have acquired such an ideal location.

Plans are underway to begin construction in 2009. The new facility, which will be one of the first environmentally "green" private schools in the county, is slated to open its doors for the 2010-2011 school year.

The school itself vows to maintain its nurturing atmosphere and academic excellence. Class sizes will continue to be limited to 15 students. The board promises to address transportation issues to help accommodate all of its current students.

Students who are currently enrolled at Poinciana will be promised the first spots at the new school, which is expected to easily reach its capacity of 135 students.
