About Us | Family Involvement
Research shows that the strength of a school is greatly enhanced by actively participating families. Our families are involved in various aspects of our school programs.
Family Commitment
We require families to volunteer service hours as part of their child's education. Each family is expected to provide at least 20 hours of service each year to the school, or provide $300 worth of requested supplies or the cash equivalent. Opportunities for service include serving as room parents, fund raising events, telephoning, or supplying goods and services to the school. Another way to satisfy your entire family commitment is to help recruit a new family for the school. Most of our new families come to Poinciana Day School because of positive feedback from our current parents.
Annual Giving and Fund Raising
Tuition does not fully cover the cost of educating a child at Poinciana Day School. Each year Poinciana raises additional funds through the Annual Giving program and fund raising events. Parental involvement enriches our high quality educational program. We encourage everyone's participation for the benefit of all the students.
